The Press Office helps fulfil VisitBritain’s international remit to build the value of tourism to Britain and, domestically, to build the value of tourism within England, generating additional revenue throughout the country and throughout the year It does this by managing the complex relationship between VisitBritain and the regional, national, international and trade media.

International Press

  • Supporting VisitBritain’s international PR network to ensure best practice is employed globally, gaining maximum positive coverage of Britain which is measured using an agreed evaluation method.  
  • Delivering PR in the form of arrangements for visiting journalists, newsletters, features and a central press centre, supporting VisitBritain’s marketing strategies and the accommodation Quality Standards policy.
  • Generating positive editorial coverage in international media, including TV, radio, newspapers, magazines and the Internet.
