Bringing the hottest new bands to Cardiff
Head to Welsh capital Cardiff from 21-23 October for the fourth Swn (pronounced soon) music festival.
This year, around 150 bands will play Swn music festival, many of them Welsh. You can either buy a one, two or three day wristband which can be used to access any of the shows on a first come first served basis. There’ll also be individual tickets for some of the larger gigs so you’ll be guaranteed entry if you’ve bought a ticket.
Artists playing this year include Marina and the Diamonds, Peggy Sue, Man Without Country, Wickes, Paul Heaton, Swans, Sun Drums and many more. Organisers BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens and Cardiff-based promoter John Rostron seem to have a talent for spotting up and coming bands. Last year’s festival saw sets from The Drums, Los Campesinos! and The Twilight Sad and this year’s event looks set to uncover some equally good talent.
