The Gearrannan Blackhouse Village is situated on the west coast of the Hebridean island of Lewis, next to an Atlantic Bay and surrounded by a traditional crofting landscape. The houses are built by drystone masonry with thatched roofs and are the last group of traditional dwellings to survive in Lewis. Stay in our blackhouses, participate in traditional rural skills and enjoy the excellent opportunities available for fishing, birdwatching and photography. Museum cafe and shop on site.
