Regent's Park was designed by Crown architect, John Nash, in 1811 for The Prince Regent. It houses a private residential estate, parkland, Queen Mary's Gardens and the Rose Gardens, a lake, a heronry and waterfowl collection.It is a haven for migrant birds as well as home to London Zoo. There are also sports facilities, children's playgrounds and performances at the Open Air Theatre from May-Sep. The summit of Primrose Hill offers fine views overWestminster and the City.
