An enjoyable experience for all set in the striking Arts and Crafts building designed by Harrison Townsend. The museum consists of three permanent exhibitions: The Living Waters Aquarium, The Natural History Gallery and African Worlds. Three new exhibitions will open in Spring 2002 when the museum's new extension opens. Adjoining the museum are 16 acres of landscaped gardens with a beautiful conservatory, nature trails and an animal enclosure. The museum hosts a variety of concerts, festivals, shows, workshops and activities, most of which are free.
