The Animal Ark houses a collection of mainly domestic and pet animals, which includes cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, ponies, wallabies, dwarf deer, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, chipmunks and rats. There are also swans, ducks, geese, parakeets, foreign finches and peacocks. All of these are kept in 25 acres of landscaped parkland that has with a large selection of
ornamental trees and shrubs. There are ponds and spinneys in which you can observe the wealth of natural wildlife including one of the largest heronries in the east of England. The facilities on site include picnic benches, tearoom, shop and toilets. There is a massive free car park and several play areas with adventure play equipment, rides, toys and games.
