
The Lion King
Julie Taymor's award-winning Disney musical The Lion King has been packing them in at London's Lyceum Theatre since 1999, inevitably following the box-office smash that was the animated film.
Join our sympathetic lion hero Simba as he grows up and learns the lessons of life amidst magnificent sets and spectacular costumes, let alone the 15 musical numbers written by Elton John and Tim Rice, which won six Tony Awards when the show opened on Broadway.
At the northern end of Waterloo Bridge where the Strand, and Aldwych meet. The nearest stations are Charing Cross, both mainline and underground (Northern and Bakerloo lines), which is ten minutes' walk west along the Strand, or Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line) through Covent Garden piazza to the north.
Many buses run along the Strand and around the Aldwych.
