The Leeds International Film Festival presents screenings at venues throughout the city. The programme includes premères, retrospectives, new film-makers and old masters, as well as a children's festival, awards and a cult "fringe" section.
So many films, too little time has often been the solitary criticism of the avid film fans who visit the Leeds International Film Festival, first held in 1987, and its organisers seem to have taken the feedback onboard - nowadays the festival has been extended by a week to last 18 days. An Early Bird Pass allows you in to every screening.
