Blind Summit's The Table at the London International Mime Festival

First held in 1977, the London International Mime Festival brightens January with a cavalcade of innovative visual theatre across the captial. Major venues such as the Southbank Centre, Barbican, Royal Opera House and Roundhouse burst with puppets, slapstick and mime.

In 2011 artists and companies appearing included Welsh company NoFit State Circus, Switzerland's Baccala Clowns, Autour Du Mime, Toron Blues and Camille Boitel from France, Belgian Claudio Stellato and Spanish Kulunka Teatro. Further afield Fleur Elise Noble came from Australia and Hiroaki Umeda from Tokyo, while from closer-to-home companies included Theatre Ad Infinitum, Blind Summit, the Anglo-French Théâtre Tête De Pioche and Liz Walker.
