In a classic example of English eccentricity, runners in fancy dress take part in the Great Christmas Pudding Race around Covent Garden's West Piazza. Teams negotiate a challenging obstacle course while carefully balancing a Christmas pudding on a tray, raising £1000s for Cancer Research.
By Tube: Covent Garden (Piccadilly line), although Leicester Square (Piccadilly and Northern lines) and Holborn (Central & Piccadilly lines) are also close.
By Bus: although no buses actually serve Covent Garden directly, any that go from Holborn along New Oxford St to the north, along Kingsway to the east, down Charing Cross Rd to the west and along the Strand to the south are within five or ten minutes' walking distance.
