The Egg Rolling held in Avenham Park is an Easter Monday tradition in Preston. Pace eggs - made of chocolate or hard-boiled and decorated with various colours - are rolled down the hill amidst great excitement.

Alongside the time-honoured egg rolling, expect jazz and samba to join the distinctive sound of the brass band, Punch & Judy, a children's funfair and other attractions. A special feature is the children's Easter Bonnet Parade, judged by Preston's mayor and mayoress.

Directions

South of Preston's city centre, and east of both the mainline Station and the River Ribble, just 15 minutes' walk from the hustle and bustle of the city.
