Safely tucked away behind the Esplanade, spectators can admire the daredevil tricks of England's best motocross riders during the Weymouth Beach Motocross. Featuring more than 250 riders, a specially designed track tests their endurance to the limit.
Regularly attracting up to 15,000 spectators, this thrilling event is one of the most exciting spectacles to happen in Weymouth. For its duration the seaside town's tranquil beach is transformed into a challenging racetrack and competitors avoid 'bomb holes' and impress with daredevil jumps, all while racing their opponents at speeds of up to 70mph.
For those who can't take the pace of the track, there's also more laidback entertainment, with a variety of stalls providing plenty of entertainment away from the racetrack.
The beach is off the Esplanade and is well signposted throughout town.
