A reindeer at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, Aviemore
The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre is the proud guardian of Britain's only reindeer herd, some 130-strong, which range over the eastern Highlands. The Centre offers daily excursions to the hilltop grazing grounds as well as reindeer treks and paddock visits.
By Car: off the A9 on the way to the Cairngorm chairlift, six miles from Aviemore on the B970.
By Air: daily service to Aviemore from Luton airport.
By Train: to Aviemore, then take the Glenmore bus service to the centre.
On Foot: through Glenmore Forest Park past Loch Morlich.
