Late-night opening hours encourage enthusiastic shoppers on the first day of the Harrods Winter Sale. It's well worth battling the post-Christmas crowds to seek out luxury goods with reductions of up to 75% at London's most famous department store.
The luxury brands so associated with Harrods are generally off-limits to all but the most financially fluid, so the huge discounts offered during this one-month sale regularly draw shoppers from throughout the country.
As well as a huge range of savings on fashion and accessories, foodstuffs and toys are also on sale, making it virtually impossible to leave the sprawling store without splurging on at least one or two post-Christmas treats.
Bargain hunters from around the world snap up the best deals early on and the sale can conclude earlier than scheduled if the crowds have been too vociferous. Be sure to visit earlier rather than later!
