The cast of Loserville, Elliot Davis & James Bourne's new British musical at London's Garrick Theatre
One of the brightest, breeziest of new British musicals transfers direct to the West End's Garrick Theatre after a wildly acclaimed West Yorkshire Playhouse showing. Loserville, originally commissioned by Youth Music Theatre, is by Elliott Davis and James Bourne.
Based on Bourne's album with his band Son of Dork (after boy band Busted had split), Loserville is set in a 1971 American high school and charts computer geek Michael Dork's love for new girl Holly. But dreams of happiness could be dashed when rich kid Eddie dumps his girl friend Leia and goes after Holly, in full knowledge of her dark secret...
Aaron Sidwell stars as Michael, with Eliza Hope Bennett (Holly), Stewart Clarke (Eddie), Charlotte Harwood (Leia) and, as Michael's misfit friends Marvin and Francis, Daniel Buckley and Lil' Chris. Steven Dexter directs, with choreography by Nick Winston.
