Cabaret

Join Sally Bowles and the MC, mainstays of the Kit Kat Club, as they introduce reserved Cliff into a decidedly decadent and seedy world. Yes, Kander and Ebb's Cabaret is back in the West End at the Savoy Theatre.

Rupert Norris' award-winning production, with choreography by  Javier De Frutos, was first seen in 2008 and now storms back into the West End starring Will Young as Emcee and Michelle Ryan as Sally Bowles.

Cabaret is based on Christopher Isherwood's evocation of Weimer Berlin in the 1930s in The Berlin Stories and the play based upon them, John van Druten's I am a Camera. It's packed with classics of the musical stage, from MC's opening Willkommen (bienvenue, welcome, in cabaret, au cabaret, to cabaret!), via Sally's Mein Herr, Maybe This Time and the almost titular (Life is a) Cabaret to MC and Sally's hymn to capitalism Money, Money. There's even a chilling chorus for the Hitler Youth: Tomorrow Belongs To Me.
