Sporting excellence in Britain’s cities
The Rugby League World Cup will be hosted by England and Wales in late October and November. Why not combine a trip to see great sporting action with some time spent exploring Britain? Discover attractive, historical towns and sophisticated cities across north Wales and England, and get to know regions rich in character and heritage.
Cardiff will host both the opening ceremony and the first match in its world-class Millennium Stadium on 26 October, after which the cosmopolitan port city of Bristol in the west of England and a selection of towns throughout northern England will host games. London’s Wembley Stadium hosts the semi-finals and the finals will take place on 30 November at Manchester’s iconic stadium Old Trafford (home ground of Premier League football team Manchester United).
