Not to be missed events in Edinburgh
Festivals in Edinburgh are a year-round affair. With 12 Festivals and several gay pride events going throughout the year, there's an endless array of events, performances and spectacles to enjoy.
Pride Scotia is Edinburgh's all-encompassing Pride celebration, with an eye very much on diversity and personal identity. With a parade and political rally at its core, Pride Scotia is very much Scotland's ball-busting, sit-up-and-take-notice celebration of gay life.
Bear Scot Fest
A weekend packed with chilled out brunches, pub nights, bordello cinema nights, the ever-popular steamy bears sauna afternoon, Mr BearScots competition, the Underbears underwear party and a chilled out cabaret – what more can you ask for?
The world famous Hogmanay Street Party rings in the New Year with a program packed full of music, dance, light and the iconic Midnight Fireworks.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe
A must attend arts showcase for everyone from the biggest names in showbiz to the performers in the street. This Festival transforms the streets of Edinburgh city centre in the month of August with buskers, street theatre and live entertainment filling nearly every cobblestone.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, this 90 minute performance is a unique blend of music, ceremony, entertainment and theatre. Over 1,000 military and civilian performers gather for a breathtaking spectacle of music, history, dance and color.
