Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle dates back nearly 2000 years to the days of the Romans.  Situated in the heart of the capital city, the castle contains some of the most important historic interiors in Britain. The Castle offers several of these remarkable interiors for exclusive hire, each of which bring an individual and distinctive character to any event.

Delegates can also enjoy a traditional Welsh banquet, an altogether Welsh experience with local food, music and hospitality. The banqueting hall and library can cater for 100 for dinner and a reception with the drawing room catering for 55 delegates. The castle has played host to Nelson Mandela and the Queen who have dined at the venue.

Cardiff Castle is currently engaged in a £7 million restoration of existing meetings rooms but is also adding a new area which will accommodate 100 delegates for dinner. The venue will have gallery spaces, a rooftop terrace and floor to ceiling retractable windows with fantastic views of the grounds and the keep.  HRH Prince of Wales will officially open the new and restored facilities on St David’s Day, March 1, 2008.
