National Meetings Week 2008

National Meetings Week is an annual awareness week which aims to raise the profile of the UK meetings and events industry to the wider business market across the UK.  Every year National Meetings Week focuses on the £22 billion-a-year contribution which meetings and events make to the UK economy, the 1.78 million jobs supported, the importance of delegate care, and the positive benefits which effective meetings bring to business communications and motivation.

This year VisitBritain will take over management of the annual National Meetings Week campaign in a bid to widen the project’s scope and broaden its appeal across the UK meetings and events industry. The campaign, now in its eighth year, has grown rapidly and is now looking to take another step forward for the industry.

National Meetings Week 2008 will take place from 15 - 21 September.
