If it is relaxation you crave, unwind at Plémont one of Jersey’s many sandy coves: linger in the sun, swim in the cobalt sea, rediscover the childhood excitement of exploring caves. For the more adventurous, the north coast offers a glimpse of Jersey’s rich marine life through diving schools offering courses and wreck diving. Further inland, there is still plenty on offer. Wander the vineyards of La Mare, Jersey’s only wine estate, be guided through the processes and then taste the fruits of their labour. Take the children on a journey into the past as you clamber aboard a steam train at Pallot Steam Museum.
Admire Jersey’s sublime coastal grandeur. Trek the fifteen miles of footpaths wending over headlands carpeted with heather, fern and gorse, leading from bay to fort to slipway. Or, take a gentle amble to uncover Jersey’s vivid past: stumble upon prehistoric burial chambers, explore ancient fortresses and the Napoleonic defences at Grève de Lecq.
In the north of the island, there is something for every palate. From charming bistros and al fresco restaurants, offering coastal views, to tea rooms serving fresh crab sandwiches and Jersey cream teas.
