Theatre
The Theatre Royal is the most historic venue in the city and has a programme encompassing pre-West End runs featuring well-known actors and companies. A grade 11 listed building, it is a must for theatre lovers.
The Brighton Dome is three venues in one. Apart from hosting main festival events, also on the programme are rock and pop, the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, plus dance, theatre, comedy and musicals. Recently reopened after a 20 million refit, it is the major centre for live arts on the south coast.
A regular programme of fringe theatre is also available at the Sallis Benney Theatre, New Venture Theatre, Tower Theatre and Brighton Little Theatre.
