Getting around

Newcastle Airport is situated close to the city centre – a 15 minute taxi ride or a 25 minute Metro journey. The Metro is a great way to get around, as well as linking the city with the airport, it is also a quick way to get to the coast and trendy suburbs. Bus services are also plentiful and frequent, and there are special tickets available.

The city centre is very compact so the best way of seeing it is on foot, pop into the Tourist Information Centre and pick up a city centre map, or a pocket guide.
