Explore one of Oxford’s grandest colleges – Christ Church – founded in 1525. It is home to the city’s famous cathedral and birthplace of Lewis Carroll's famous Alice books. Harry Potter fans will love the Great Hall which provided the model for the hall at Hogwarts.
Pack a picnic and explore the charmed backwaters of the River Isis (the Thames), the Cherwell or the Oxford canal by punt, narrow boat, cruiser, canoe or pedallo!
Bring your camera! University ceremonies and customs like the colourful procession of Encaenia (conferring of honorary degrees) in June, and college boat races on the Isis River in March and May, are among many memorable sights.
