Oxford has a wide range of theatres with performances to entice everyone! Choose between The Oxford Playhouse, Beaumont Street, where Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor once took to the stage, or The New Theatre, George Street, which hosts a fast-changing year-round programme of top class entertainment of every kind. 

The Creation Theatre Company stage Open Air Shakespeare with performances in Oxford’s new open-air theatre at Headington Hill Park from June to September.

Home to Oxford Youth Theatre and Oxford Youth Ballet is Pegasus Theatre which stages the newest and most exciting contemporary arts from all over the world.

The Burton Taylor Theatre, Gloucester Street, is a small 50-seater studio theatre that plays host to wide variety of student productions, professional touring companies or local small-scale community theatre groups.
