The Cotswold Way National Trail is a long distance walk of approximately 100 miles that runs along the Cotswold escarpment between Bath and Chipping Campden. On the trail you will experience stunning views across the Severn Vale to Brecon Beacons in Wales, Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean. You will walk through beech woods and pasture enclosed with traditional dry stone walls, see charming villages with Cotswold stone cottages and pass through sites of historic interest including iron age hill forts and Neolithic long barrows.
Just some of the highlights that you will experience are the World Heritage City of Bath, National Trust properties of Dyrham House and Horton Court; Broadway Tower and Somerset Monument tower follies; old mill towns of Painswick, Stroud & Dursley; charming villages such as Cold Ashton, Alderley and Stanway, the stone pillar, the Devils Chimney at Leckhampton Hill, Belas Knap Long Barrow, Sudeley Castle and Hailes Abbey.
