The Science of Survival exhibition

Science of Survival

This year's big exhibition at London's Science Museum is The Science of Survival: Your Planet Needs You! This fascinating and thought-provoking exhibition looks at how we'll survive on our changing planet, and runs from Saturday 5 April - Sunday 2 November.

At this fun, hands-on exhibition, you and your family can explore how your lives could be affected by Earth's changing climate and resources, and you'll also get a glimpse of how you might live in the year 2050.

When you enter the exhibition, you'll meet Eco, Tek, Dug and Buz - 4 virtual guides from 2050 who'll take you around the 7 areas of the exhibition: Briefing, Drinking, Eating, Enjoying, Moving, Building and Future City. At each of these areas, you can explore some of the issues we might face in the future, such as innovative ways to find water, creating a new superfood, designing your own eco-vehicle and building a sustainable neighbourhood.

On your way around the exhibition, you'll see innovative objects including water-saving devices like the toilet lid sink, the LifeSaver bottle and LifeSaver Straw, both of which makes any water, no matter how dirty, fit to drink. And through the interactive games and 'build your own' design activities, you can create your own 2050 neighbourhood, which will come to life on a big screen at the end of your journey.

So if you want to help find solutions to create a better 2050, bring your family to the Science Museum and discover what you can do to help your planet.
