Taxi
Checker Cars is the official airport taxi firm and has taxis ready to meet all arriving flights. They have 2 booking offices open 24 hours a day, one in the North Terminal arrivals area and the other in the northern entrance building leading to the South Terminal - simply follow the signs for 'Taxis'.
It takes around 1 hour 10 minutes to get into central London and costs about £77 (plus £5 congestion charge if your destination is within the charging zone). You should agree the fare at the booking office when you order your taxi. You can pay in advance by credit card or cash at the end of your journey. Disabled access taxis are available.

Gatwick is 28 miles (45km) south of London, directly linked to the M23 at Junction 9 and to the A23 London-Brighton road. Just a 10 minute drive away, the M25 further connects with the UK's extensive road and motorway network.
