Assessment Catagories
The vast number of accommodation styles requires that a number of catagories have been devised, each with specific criteria that are common to each individual group.

| Hotel | Must have minimum six bedrooms,
be licensed and offer dinner. |
| Budget Hotel | Budget hotels are part of large chains
offering clean and cmfortable en-suite
facilities. |
| Guest Accommodation | Smaller than hotels, more likely to offer
a family feel. |
| Self-Catering | All accommodation with kitchen and
bathroom facilities. |
| Serviced Apartment | Often found in larger cities, serviced
apartments offer services such as
maid service and concierge. |
| Parks | Covering the overall service and quality
of the many camping and caravan sites. |
| Holiday Village | Usually comprising of a variety of
accommodation types provided in
custom built rooms. |
| Hostel | Includes bunk-houses, camping barns,
backpacker, group and activity accommodation. |
| Campus | Generally on university or college site with
some aspects of communal living. |
| Spa | Offering professionally supervised treatments
to enhance health, well being and relaxation. |
| Individual Caravan | Caravan holiday homes situated on farms,
caravan parks which are let by the owner. |
| Hire Craft and Hotel Boat | Covering narrowboats, cruisers and hotel boats
reflecting the combination of service, facilities
and overall comfort and quality of the boat. |
