Cardhu Distillery, Knockando

Cardhu Distillery is the only malt distillery pioneered by a woman. It stands in Knockando, Speyside, close to the secret of its success – the ice-cold, fresh mountain spring water. To this day, the art of distilling is unhurried and unchanging; with the resulting Cardhu malt maturing for at least 12 years in old oak casks, giving it its silky taste.

Glenfiddich Distillery, Dufftown

Glenfiddich Distillery is home to Glenfiddich (meaning ‘Valley of the Deer’ in Gaelic), one of he world’s most popular whiskies. Choose from the free Original Tour or the more detailed Connoisseurs' Tour, which is followed by a tutored nosing and tasting session of a range of Glenfiddich whiskies.

Glenlivet Distillery, Ballindalloch, Banffshire

Glen Grant Distillery, Rothes

Founded by two former smugglers in 1823, Glen Grant now makes a distinctive pale spirit with a delicate, floral flavour. It’s one of Scotland’s most attractive distilleries set in beautifully kept Victorian Gardens where you’ll find woodland, a waterfall and even a hidden whisky safe.

Glen Moray Distillery, Elgin

Glen Moray has been located on the banks of the River Lossie since 1897, and in over a century, everything but the ingredients and skills of those responsible for the splendid malt whisky has changed. Enjoy a tour of the distillery and meet the craftsmen, then savour the taste of this fine whisky before you leave.

Benromach Distillery, Forres

Benromach Distillery is the smallest working distillery in Speyside and the whisky here is handcrafted by just 2 distillers. In 1993, malt whisky specialists Gordon & MacPhail rescued the empty distillery and set about restoring it to its former glory. Visit The Malt Whisky Centre, formerly the drier house, sit in the 'wee nook' and watch a video depicting the history of Gordon & MacPhail or enjoy a tutored tasting.

Strathisla, Keith

Set by the rushing River Isla, Strathisla is one of Scotland’s oldest and most attractive distilleries, home to Chivas Regal 12 year old and Chivas. Visit its distinctive pagoda-shaped buildings set in a cobbled courtyard and take a tour to learn about distilling techniques.
