For en mer personlig atmosfære
Staying at a B&B is a great way to experience life in Britain’s local communities and to enjoy a more personal feel. B&B accommodation ranges from basic rooms in a family home to upmarket boutique accommodation - perfect for every budget.
B&B stands for ‘Bed and Breakfast’. In essence you get a room in someone's house, with breakfast included in the price. Small B&B’s may only have one guest room, so you’ll really feel like part of the family, where larger B&B’s may have 4 or 5 rooms and more facilities, and just as warm a welcome.
Most B&B rates are based on two people sharing a room. Single rooms are rare and lone travellers need to plan ahead a little. Even then, single rooms can cost around 20-50% more than the usual per person price for a shared double room.
Facilities will differ between B&B’s, but usually rooms will include a sink or en-suite bathroom, television, wardrobe, clean bed linen, towels and tea/coffee making facilities.
