Celebrating great food in London
The London Restaurant Festival is a celebration of the sheer diversity of great restaurants across the capital. From 4-18 October 2010 food lovers can explore some of London’s finest cooking, from its high-end Michelin-starred restaurants to popular neighbourhood bistros.
Don’t miss the London Restaurant Festival Market that will take over Old Spitalfields Market in East London from 11-13 and 15-17 October. At the market you can explore different zones dedicated to different nations, such as Mexico and Malaysia. Here, restaurants will highlight their country’s produce and cooking techniques through demonstrations and you’ll be able to buy produce and freshly-cooked dishes.
This year, up to 800 restaurants will also get involved offering great value menus showcasing the fantastic variety of food available in London from the expensive to the fantastically cheap. In fact, proving that you can eat well in London without spending a fortune is part of the festival’s mission and many menus will be in the under £10 category.
