Att bo på B&B ger en personlig prägel på ditt boende och är ett utmärkt sätt att möta Storbritanniens lokalbefolkning på. B&B finns i allt från billiga rum hos en familj till lyxiga men personliga hotell - passar varje budget.
B&B stands for ‘Bed and Breakfast’. In essence you get a room in someone's house, with breakfast included in the price. Small B&B’s may only have one guest room, so you’ll really feel like part of the family, where larger B&B’s may have 4 or 5 rooms and more facilities, and just as warm a welcome.
B&B prices vary depending on location, time of year and number of people. They are generally cheaper then hotels but some are more luxurious and prices reflect this.
Most B&B rates are based on two people sharing a room. Single rooms are rare and lone travellers need to plan ahead a little. Even then, single rooms can cost around 20-50% more than the usual per person price for a shared double room.
Facilities will differ between B&B’s, but usually rooms will include a sink or en-suite bathroom, television, wardrobe, clean bed linen, towels and tea/coffee making facilities.
