Shopping

Birmingham is a shopper’s paradise, with restored arcades, modern malls and markets, boutiques and high street stores. The combination of pedestrian friendly streets and relaxed environment makes shopping in Birmingham a hugely enjoyable experience.

Europe's newest shopping destination, Bullring, can be found in the heart of Birmingham. At one end is the architecturally stunning Selfridges. At the other, a new style Debenhams. And in between are over 140 exciting shops - many of them new to Birmingham.

Elite designer shops such as DKNY, Hugo Boss and Armani can be found in The Mailbox. In addition to the individual designer boutiques is Harvey Nichols plus a number of bars, cafes and restaurants, which complete the dynamic leisure and retail development.

The city centre also boasts City Plaza, the Pallasades and Pavilion Central – all fantastic shopping malls. Plus there are also some amazing department stores where you can spend your cash, including Beatties and House of Fraser.

Birmingham has a long-standing tradition for its markets, which have been held in the city since 1166. Specialist Markets are also held in the city, including the Antiques Market in the Jewellery Quarter and the Farmer's Market held in the city centre.
