Table setting at Longueville Manor

Channel Islands

From Jersey Royal potatoes, nurtured and solely cultivated here for over 120 years, to home grown Shitake mushrooms, chefs on Jersey revel in the very finest produce. Add a wealth of seafood - lobsters, spider crab, shark and barracuda are just some fishy delights to be found in Beresford Market in St. Helier -  and this is a gourmet's delight. Fancy salt cod? You'll find it at the fantastic Portuguese deli near the market, or chose home made pasta in the neighbouring Italian shop. Restaurants galore, intimate bistros and cosy pubs serve rich and luscious cream from the island’s own breed of cows. Book a table at Michelin starred Longueville Manor's restaurant Suma for an amazing view and food to match.

Travel to Guernsey and her neighbouring islands to revel in another haven of culinary delights. Placid cows produce deep yellow cream and butter, perfect for spreading on Guernsey Gache, a favourite fruit loaf (pronounced Gosh!). Creative chefs love to show off their abilities and superb local produce, a Sea Food Festival and Good Food Month see restaurants and pubs in tasty competition. Look out for rare treats - Sark Lamb is a serious taste experience and rarest of all, the Ormer – a shellfish so delicious the locals find it hard to share!
