Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall
As you stroll into the reception of Jamie Oliver's latest restaurant project, Fifteen Cornwall (www.fifteencornwall.co.uk/), you know you're in for a really good time. Located at the stunning Watergate Bay and just a few minutes away from Britain's surfing capital, Newquay, Fifteen Cornwall is a welcome addition to South West England's growing reputation as a major food hotspot.
In the city & by the sea
The restaurant is a superb modern design with plenty of room for diners to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Watergate Bay and its golden sandy beaches. The food is a mix of Italian-Mediterranean with a heavy emphasis on using locally sourced produce. A quick look at Jamie's website will also show you some of the many artisan food producers he and the restaurant are working with. One of their latest partnerships is with Skinners Brewery in Truro.
Recommended dishes
Try the fantastic Tasting menu to make the most of your Fifteen Cornwall experience. The seafood risotto with saffron is a great way to start followed by the slow roast Ryeland lamb. If you're a cheese fan go for the cheese board featuring local cheeses Cornish Yarg and Cornish Blue. Fifteen Cornwall also has a super friendly team (especially the sommelier and his state of the art wine rack) who do everything to make you feel welcome.
Oliver Rowe in London
Oliver Rowe is another well-known newcomer to London who has been making a name for himself at the recently opened Konstam (www.konstam.co.uk/) at the Prince Albert, just a few minutes walk from London King's Cross railway and tube station.
Regional food from the capital
Oliver's restaurant is located in a converted pub and is one of our best examples of how Londoners are now into their own regional food. Oliver and his team source fresh ingredients daily from within London's M25 as much as possible. This means that each day you will find something different on their tasty menu.
