Calling all whisky lovers - the whisky tasting event of the year is back! Whisky Live Glasgow 2008 is bringing the best whiskies from all over the world under one roof. This year's event is happening on Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow.
Whisky Live gives you the unique opportunity to sample the greatest whiskies in the world, whilst mingling with the producers and distillers, marketers and visitor centre staff, all under one roof. In addition to learning about the world of whisky, you'll have the opportunity to sample rare and sought after whiskies and meet the stars of the industry. You can also expect masterclasses, live entertainment, food and regular nose-offs.
Now in its 8th year, Whisky Live has become the world's premier whisky tasting show. The show is a great day out for whisky enthusiasts, but if you know nothing about whisky it's the perfect place to learn - the Whisky Live Masterclasses are a unique insight into the world of whisky and are tutored by master distillers and other leading whisky experts.
This year promises to be the most exciting Whisky Live Glasgow yet as Scotland’s premier whisky tasting event joins in the celebration of Whisky Magazine’s 10th anniversary. Whisky Experiences seek to educate and entertain those that want to learn a little more about the diversity of Scotland’s greatest export, themed areas include food and whisky combinations with new opportunities to enjoy one leading whisky matched with cheese, chocolate or coffee and the Whisky Live stage will play host to live distiller debates, music, the blending competition, Scotland’s Scottish Flair cocktail champion and much more.
A varied programme of tasting Masterclasses will also be running for those who would like a more in-depth whisky experience and a chance to learn from acknowledged experts in the field.
