Britain’s top cities for museums & galleries – Birmingham

Birmingham’s museums & galleries

Birmingham isn’t best known as a tourist destination. Visitors often hurry past the city to get to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, but in doing this they are really missing out on one of Britain’s most important cities.

Proud to be a ‘Brummie’

If you spend a bit of time in Birmingham you will soon discover that it is a city that its residents are really proud to be a part of. As well as being a great place from which to tour the Heart of England, the city has a vibrant cultural scene, great shopping, arts galleries, museums and great food.
