Malleny Garden, Balerno, Edinburgh
Also within Edinburgh is Malleny Garden. Aptly described as The National Trust for Scotland's secret garden, this three-acre walled garden is a delight, with old-fashioned roses, an attractive herb and ornamental vegetable garden and stunning herbaceous borders guarded by a square of four 400-year-old clipped yews. The National Bonsai Collection for Scotland is also kept here.
