The streets of Hitchin are lined with Tudor and Georgian buildings, providing a gorgeous backdrop for a number of antiques and gift stores to browse. Hitchin is also home to the Hitchin Museum and Art Gallery located in the centre of town.

From Hitchin your tour takes you to Hertford, which is famous for its antiques stores, and with over 1000 yrs of history there is plenty to discover. Don’t miss the Hertford Castle along with towns Museum, and the Courtyard Arts Centre.

Sawbridgeworth

Sawbridgeworth

Described as ‘one of the best small towns in the county´, Sawbridgeworth prospered from the malting industry and is dominated by a 13th century church spire. The riverside maltings have now been converted into an antique centre in which to discover treasures from the past.
