Saffron Walden
Taking its name from the saffron crocus which once grew in the region, Saffron Walden is picturesque medieval town that is lined with timber framed buildings. Explore the antiques and craft shops, pay a visit to the Audley End House and Gardens, Bridge End Gardens and the Saffron Walden Museum.
Finchingfield
Finchingfield is a charming hillside village, spend some time discovering the high street, local church and take a walk to the village pond. The renowned Finchingfield Antiques Centre, with over 25 dealers is a melting pot of antiques and reproductions.
Clare
