Taxi

Checker Cars is the official airport taxi operator and located outside the arrivals hall to the right as you exit the building. Cars are available everyday 24 hours a day and there are taxis at the airport to meet all arriving flights. Fares to Cardiff city centre are about £24.

Car

The airport is 12 miles from junction 33 of the M4 motorway which goes straight to London (150 miles). It's also close to the M48 which links South Wales to the North of England. There are numerous scenic A roads linking destinations throughout Wales. Use the VisitBritain journey planner (visitbritain.transportdirect.info/web2) to find the best route to your destination.

Car hire

Train

You can take a train directly from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff Central Station and Bridgend Station, from where you find train connections to destinations throughout Wales and England, including direct routes to London and the North of England. Trains run each direction every hour.

Bus

The X91 bus runs between the airport and Cardiff Central Station from 07:15 to 08:25 Monday to Saturday. The bus leaves the airport every hour at 35 minutes past the hour during peak times. There is a bus every two hours during the daytime on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. An adult single fare to Cardiff centre is £3.70 and the journey takes about 40 minutes.

If you're arriving in the evening, you can take bus 95 into Cardiff. This bus runs an hourly service from the airport between 19:27 to 23:22, Monday to Saturday. It takes about 1 hour to get to Cardiff centre with a number of stops including Barry and Dinas Powys. Again, an adult single fare to Cardiff centre is £3.70.

Coach

You can take a bus, taxi or train directly from the airport to Cardiff Bus Station. From here, National Express coach service operates numerous routes throughout England and Wales.
