There is a taxi stop directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal and there are taxis waiting to meet all arriving flights. The journey into Liverpool city centre is 7 miles and takes about 20 minutes. The fare is about £12-£14.

Car
Liverpool John Lennon Airport lies within Liverpool city itself on the southern edge of the city. It is conveniently located within the Merseyside road network and lies close to 5 motorways including the M62 to Manchester which is just 30 miles away, and the M6 towards London. Bus
A number of bus services leave from directly outside the airport going to Liverpool and the surrounding area. You'll find buses to Liverpool city centre every day 24 hours a day. Between 05:10 and 00:00 you can take the Arriva 500 bus to Lime Street station - Liverpool's main train station. Between 00:27 and 04:57, there is the night bus N86, which goes to Queen Square Bus Station, just 2 minutes' walk from Lime Street Station. Journey time for both is about 45 minutes. An adult ticket for the 500 bus is £2, and for the N86 is £3.50.
There's also an hourly Arriva 700 bus from the airport to Manchester Piccadilly train station between 05:30 and 00:30 every day. The journey takes about 1 hour 45 minutes and an adult single ticket costs £3.50.

Train
Take a taxi or bus to Liverpool Lime Street Station (see above). From here and from Liverpool Central Station, just a stop away, you can take direct and connecting trains to destinations all over the UK. Manchester, Chester, Blackpool, Leeds, York and North Wales are all nearby, and London is only 2 hours 30 minutes away by train.
