The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon have now closed for transformation which will see them re-developed to create the most dynamic space for performing and enjoying Shakespeare. The transformation project is due for completion in 2010. The Royal Shakespeare Company continue to perform throughout the project at the 1,000 seat Courtyard Theatre which was opened in 2006.
