Taxi

Executive Onward Travel is the airport's dedicated taxi firm. There are taxis at the airport to meet every arriving flight. You'll find the booking desk in the UK arrivals hall, and taxis waiting just outside UK arrivals next to the coach park. A taxi into Edinburgh centre costs about £18. Taxis are available to book 24 hours a day and many are wheelchair accessible.

Car

Edinburgh airport is close to a number of A roads and 3 major motorways including the M90 with routes into North Scotland, the M8 towards Glasgow (just 45 minutes away by car) and the M9 towards Stirling and the Highlands. Public bus services stop outside the UK arrivals doors on the terminal forecourt.

Airlink 100 to city centre

There's an express bus service to Edinburgh city centre that runs every 10 minutes at peak times through the day, and every 30 minutes at night. Adult tickets cost £3 single, £5 return. You can buy tickets from the information desk at International Arrivals, from a desk near the bus stop or on the bus itself. The journey is about 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station. The bus station is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.

35 service to Leith

Lothian Buses operates the 35 bus service, which runs between the airport and Leith's Ocean Terminal via South Gyle, Sighthill and Fountainbridge. There's a bus every 30 minutes and journey time is about 1 hour. Tickets cost up to £1 and can be bought from the driver.

Airdirect 747 to Inverkeithing

Stagecoach runs the 747 service connecting the airport with Inverkeithing Railway station and Ferrytoll Park & Ride. The service runs every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays. Normal journey times will be around 25 minutes.

Train

You can get to Edinburgh's main railway station in the city centre (Waverly) by either bus or taxi (see above). From here there are services to Glasgow and a variety of other destinations in Scotland and England. Most train services also operate from Edinburgh Haymarket station which is on the main bus route between the airport and city centre.
