Burnley Football Club, also known as ‘The Clarets’ after their wine-coloured jerseys, were promoted to the Premier League in 2016.
Their home ground since 1883 has been Turf Moor in Burnley, Lancashire. One of the 12 founding clubs of the Football League in 1888, Burnley can list the Prince of Wales among their supporters!
Major honours include two league titles, the last in 1960, as well as the FA Cup, while the club is one of only five teams to have won all four professional divisions of English football.
