From 3 - 7 May 2017, the third edition of London Craft Week takes up residence in the capital, showcasing the very best international and British creativity and craftsmanship through a ‘beyond luxury’ journey-of-discovery.
From the V&A to The Shard and RADA to The House of Lords, London Craft Week is spread across the capital’s iconic buildings, influential institutions and off-the-beaten track side streets. Likewise, the programme spans a broad spectrum from unknown makers to celebrated masters and famous designers. Makers and artists such as Tom Raffield, Bill Amberg, Felicity Aylieff, Julian Stair and Grayson Perry feature alongside luxury brands including, founding partner Vacheron Constantin, Princess Yachts, Rolls Royce, Mulberry and Georg Jensen and fashion designers include Vivienne Westwood, Mary Katrantzou, Ralph & Russo and Hussein Chalayan.

Contemporary British Silversmiths, the UK’s leading association for designer silversmiths, are joined by special guests from the Danske Sølvsmede (The Danish Silversmiths’ Association) and Georg Jensen. This event is supported by the Goldsmiths’ Company and the Embassy of Denmark.

Doppia Firma, exhibits a selection of the best European designers with the finest Italian master artisans. Each designer-artisan pair has created a unique, functional object which embodies the marriage of creativity and craftsmanship. A project of the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte.

For the first time, Arumjigi brings an exhibition to London which celebrates authentic Korean craftsmanship with today’s creativity, through collaborations with a selection of celebrated Korean artisans and contemporary artists. The Arumjigi Culture Keepers is a non-profit private organisation that promotes traditional Korean culture.
This curated programme brings together over 230 events from all corners of the globe including wood carvers from Japan, artisans from Korea, wood block printers from China, a batik artist from Hong Kong, ceramists from Taiwan, umbrella makers from France, porcelain painters from Germany, glass artists from Sweden, furniture makers from Denmark and even a guitar maker from Spain.
Meet the artists, designers, makers and engineers, get a glimpse behind-the-scenes of famous brands and landmark buildings, see familiar products deconstructed, learn how things are made and even have a go yourself.
