1. Liverpool FC
One of the Premier League’s best known and successful football teams, visit Liverpool FC’s home ground at Anfield, take a stadium tour then watch a match!
2. Everton FC
Liverpool is a city of two teams: Liverpool FC are the reds, and Everton FC are the blues. Another of the Premier League’s top teams, tour Everton’s home ground at Goodison Park, and see them play a match – if you can catch a Liverpool vs Everton game – known as a ‘derby’ match, even better!
Take in the views of the historic Albert Dock from the water! From kayaking to sailing, powerboating, windsurfing and more, it’s a great way to get some exercise in the heart of the city.
4. England’s Golf Coast
Liverpool is surrounded by world-class golf courses, seven of which are in Britain’s top 100. Prices to play vary, so you can find the course that suits your level and your wallet easily.
5. Aintree Racecourse
One of Britain’s best known racecourses, Aintree has staged the Grand National horserace since the 19th century. Come and watch a race, or see the Grand National Itself, it’s quite an experience!
6. Rugby in St. Helens
St Helens, just outside Liverpool, is home to the St. Helens Rugby Football Club, also known as the Saints. They’re a rugby league team, which is particularly strong in the north, and has a different set of rules to the more mainstream rugby union. Head over to Langtree Park, their home ground, and watch them play a match.
