Celebrating the unsung diversity of the British coast

Friday 04 November 2011

The main island of Britain boasts an impressive 11,073 miles of coastline. Throw in some of the other larger British islands and you have almost 20,000 miles of coast. With so much shoreline it is perhaps no wonder there is a fantastic variety of coastal scenery on offer.

Yet for many visitors to Britain a visit to the coast does not form part of their plans. Here are just a few snaps I have taken in the last few years on my travels around the UK that give a tiny glimpse into the delights on offer around the edges of our wonderful country.
