Home to London Fashion Week, Britain is always bursting with new store openings, emerging designers, and fashionistas on every street corner. Here we shine some light on British brands that are worth keeping tabs on when shopping in Britain. The list includes titans like Burberry and Ted Baker to other British born labels like Seasalt Cornwall, Rixo and Kepler that are making both stylish and practical clothes.

Oxford Blue

Trading since 1968, Oxford Blue have a long history of manufacturing outstanding quality clothing at affordable prices. Inspired by the historic city of Oxford with its historic buildings, world famous University and boat race, they have built an unsurpassed reputation on quality and British designed products.

Burberry

Burberry reveals its Year of the Rabbit 2023 campaign building upon the brand’s spirit of adventure, a celebration of taking a leap into the unknown. The campaign stars actors Qi Xi, Shi Pengyuan and sportswoman Zhao Lina. Inspired by the Year of the Rabbit, the exclusive collection features the Thomas Burberry Monogram playfully re-imagined with rabbit ears. The new logo adorns clothing, the signature Lola bag, accessories and cashmere and silk scarves.

Ted Baker

Having launched as a shirt specialist in Glasgow Ted Baker quickly became the place to buy some of the very best contemporary menswear. From the beginning the brand has had a very clear focus on quality, attention to detail and a quirky sense of humour. So much so in fact that the first stores used to provide a laundry service for every shirt purchased – something that gained the quickly growing brand the title of ‘No Ordinary Designer Label’. Everything produced under the Ted Baker name has his personality woven into its heart. Ted Baker is one of the fastest-growing leading lifestyle brands in the UK. The collections have expanded rapidly and today Ted Baker offers a wide range of collections including: Menswear, Womenswear, Global, Endurance, Langley, Accessories, Fragrance, Skinwear, Footwear, Eyewear and Watches.

Seasalt Cornwall

Their story began in Penzance in 1981, when Don Chadwick opened his first shop on Adelaide Street. It sold traditional workwear to local farmers, fishermen and artists and was known as General Clothing Stores. Inspired by this creative, coastal community, Don’s sons – Neil, Leigh and David – decided to create a clothing brand and, with the help of a growing team, they started to design their own collections. Inspired by Cornwall’s wild landscape, artistic culture and maritime heritage they now make beautiful quality clothing and accessories.

Kepler

Based on the idea of an alternative reality other than life on Earth as we know it, Kepler, a new London-based fashion brand by Alexandra Hadjikyriacou and Jaimee McKenna feels just like that: strangely familiar yet unique. The fundamentals of Kepler take inspiration from traditional methods of garment making and cultures from across the globe, merging them together to create a meaningful and mindful creations. The Kepler customer is a union of a utilitarian and refined working woman, with a romantic style.

RIXO

RIXO’s philosophy is to inspire a wanderlust and free spirit in all their wearers, filling a gap in the contemporary market with easy-to-wear, feminine shapes, and high-quality materials. They create a fusion of original hand-painted prints and timeless silhouettes to flatter every woman, irrespective of age, season, size, nationality, or time of day. Their collections include vintage inspired one-off pieces for women to wear with confidence, for a variety of occasions.
